Lauren Haley morris
Lauren Haley Morris is an award-winning Multimedia Journalist and Main Desk Anchor for Temple Update, the Emmy-winning student newscast on TUTV. She also contributes to The Update Now and The Temp, covering stories that highlight campus life and the Philadelphia community.
A Charlotte, North Carolina native, Lauren studies Journalism at Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication. She is a recipient of the NATAS Mid-Atlantic Emmy Student Production Award and has been nationally recognized by the National Association of Black Journalists, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the Washington Media Scholars Foundation for her excellence in reporting and leadership.
Lauren has gained industry experience as an Investigative Intern at WNEP 16 Scranton and as a Production Runner for ABC News during the presidential debate, where she served as a stand-in anchor. She also manages digital content as a Social Media Correspondent for Temple University and as Social Media Manager for Temple’s Association of Black Journalists.
